Troubleshooting the PDF Data Form

We are aware that some farmers or other users of the system may have touble with either downloading or opening, filling in and sending the PDF data gathering form.

This seems to stems from incompatibilities with various computer systems, PDF readers and browsers.

To make things work:

1. If you have Adobe Reader version 6 or above, it should work with little difficulty. Simply click on the "Download the Dataform Here" in the front page, select the version for your state or region. If you click on it, it will either open in your browser or download to your computer (depending on the brower you are using).

You can either

a) fill in within the Browser window, and hit the 'submit' button at the end.
b) open the PDF with Adobe Reader, fill in, and hit 'submit'.

If the data does not appear to have gone, make sure you email program is open, then hit 'submit' again.

3. If you have earlier versions of Adobe Reader than version 6 here is what seems to happen:

Version 4           - wont allow typing into the fields - you will need to download a more recent version of the Reader, or print off the PDF, fill in and fax to: 02 8088 1052.
Version 5          - allows typing into fields, and saving a copy of the pdf but will only allow sending the data from within a web browser.  Right hand click on the file, select 'open with' and then select your web browser program.
Version 6 and above       - allows filling of fields, doesn’t save a copy (you need to print it if you want a copy) but will send data from either the pdf file, or from within a web browser.
